Our client, a premier boutique business law firm, is seeking an accomplished Commercial Real Estate Partner to join and help lead its national Commercial Real Estate practice. This is a rare opportunity for a senior-level attorney to step into a meaningful leadership role within a highly regarded real estate group that is experiencing long-term growth and an anticipated transition of significant client relationships.

The Role

The firm is looking for a seasoned commercial real estate attorney with 15+ years of experience representing sophisticated clients in complex real estate transactions, including:

  • Real estate development and redevelopment projects

  • Commercial leasing (office, retail, industrial, mixed-use)

  • Real estate finance transactions representing both lenders and borrowers

  • Joint ventures, syndications, and structured real estate investments

The ideal candidate is business-minded, collaborative, and client-focused, with the confidence and interpersonal skills necessary to build, grow, and sustain long-term client relationships. A moderate book of business is preferred but not required, as the firm offers strong institutional support and meaningful opportunities for organic business development.

  • Real estate investment trusts (REITs)

  • Developers and real estate syndicators

  • Real estate-focused businesses and corporate clients nationwide

The practice serves clients throughout Illinois and across the United States, handling complex, high-value commercial real estate matters.

  • Significant client transition opportunities as senior partners approach retirement

  • Strong platform for business development and practice growth

  • Collegial, entrepreneurial firm culture with long-term stability
