Our client, a rapidly growing Am Law 150 law firm, is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Associate to join its Chicago office. This role is ideal for a mid-level real estate attorney (4–7 years) with experience handling acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing across multiple asset classes.


Key Responsibilities – Commercial Real Estate Associate

  • Represent clients in commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions involving diverse asset classes

  • Advise clients on commercial financing and lending transactions, including:

    • Secured loans

    • Refinancing

    • Complex debt structures

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases, including:

    • Retail

    • Office

    • Industrial

    • Mixed-use properties

  • Collaborate closely with clients, opposing counsel, and internal legal teams to ensure smooth transaction execution

  • Manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail


Qualifications & Experience

  • J.D. from an accredited law school

  • Admission to the Illinois Bar (or eligibility for admission)

  • 4–7 years of commercial real estate experience, including:

    • Acquisitions and dispositions

    • Financing and lending transactions

    • Commercial leasing

  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, client-focused law firm environment
