Pay: $300,000.00$350,000.00

Our client, a leading boutique business law firm located in Chicago, is seeking a seasoned Construction Law Partner to help lead its expanding national team. The firm is looking for a senior attorney with a strong background in construction litigation and a proven ability to manage significant matters from inception to resolution. Candidates must have at least 8+ years of substantial construction litigation experience, including cases involving construction and design defects, project delays, acceleration, scheduling, and mechanic’s liens.

While the focus of this role is on litigation, the ideal candidate will also have experience drafting and negotiating construction agreements for projects exceeding $100 million. Familiarity with construction contracts such as AIA, ConsensusDocs, and custom agreements is a plus. Strong executive functioning skills are essential, as the attorney will be expected to manage cases independently and lead a team of junior attorneys and associates on complex litigation matters. Experience in construction trials, arbitration, and dispute resolution is required.

The Construction Law Group is led by partners with significant experience in construction law, many of whom trained at top-tier construction law practices. The team primarily represents owners, developers, and general contractors, providing comprehensive services including managing pre-claim disputes and litigating cases in both court and arbitration nationwide. The role will involve handling high-stakes litigation and occasionally assisting with sophisticated transactions.

This position offers a fast-paced, collaborative environment where the team is passionate about their work and committed to achieving the best outcomes for clients. The firm is highly focused on business development, providing the successful candidate with immediate opportunities to build and expand their professional network, with strong support and mentoring from the firm’s leadership. This is an ideal role for an attorney looking to grow their practice while working alongside a dynamic and experienced national team.

The firm offers a competitive salary range of $300,000 – $350,000, with the potential for more based on factors such as experience, client relationships, and performance. The firm provides a generous compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, as well as eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
