Responsibilities
- Assist with commercial and residential real estate transactions
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and transactional documents
- Conduct due diligence reviews and title analysis
- Support acquisitions, sales, leasing, financing, and development matters
- Prepare closing documents and assist with closings
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, lenders, and title companies
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Illinois or ability to waive in
- 1–5 years of real estate law experience preferred
- Strong drafting, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly valued:
- Commercial real estate transactions
- Leasing
- Real estate finance
- Title and survey review
- Land use and development matters
- Condominium or association matters
- Purchase and sale agreements
