Paralegal – Complex Commercial Litigation
Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Partner overseeing Paralegals
Education: Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred
Experience: Minimum of 5 years handling complex litigation
A mid-sized, Chicago-based law firm focused on complex commercial litigation is seeking an experienced and motivated paralegal to join its collaborative team. Our paralegals play a vital role in managing all stages of the litigation process—from pleadings and discovery through trial and appeal. We offer a supportive work environment and a hybrid schedule with two remote days per week for added flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare pleadings and discovery materials for federal/state court and arbitration matters

Analyze, review, and organize discovery materials; coordinate document production and responses

Assist with trial preparation, including managing exhibits and supporting trial logistics

Draft routine filings and discovery documents

Conduct legal and factual research (e.g., Westlaw, PACER)

Cite check and assist in motion practice

Draft and file documents; prepare affidavits and other legal materials

Maintain and index case files

Complete special projects as assigned
