Scout Partners is conducting a confidential search for a Commercial Real Estate Associate to join the highly successful real estate practice of a prominent Chicago law firm.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of sophisticated transactions with meaningful autonomy and direct client contact. The successful candidate will become a contributing and influential member of the firm’s real estate group.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents.
  • Work directly with CEOs, business owners, investors, developers, and other decision-makers.
  • Manage assigned matters with an appropriate level of independence.
  • Collaborate with partners and other members of the real estate practice.
  • Participate in client development and practice group initiatives.

Qualifications

  • At least three years of commercial real estate experience.
  • Strong transactional drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, writing, and organizational abilities.
  • Solid academic credentials.
  • Interest in business development and contributing to practice group growth.
  • Admission to and good standing with the Illinois bar.
  • Experience with commercial real estate financing transactions is a significant plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range is $215,000-$255,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
