Family Law Paralegal
Location: Northwest Suburbs of Chicago
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000
We are currently recruiting for a Family Law Paralegal on behalf of a boutique law firm located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. This in-office opportunity is ideal for an experienced paralegal who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing cases from intake through trial.
The firm is seeking a professional with a minimum of three years of family law experience who can operate independently, manage multiple deadlines, and provide meaningful support in a fast-paced practice.
Responsibilities
Prepare, draft, and revise motions, pleadings, judgments, financial statements, and related correspondence, including debt and asset disclosures, child support worksheets, affidavits, and responsive pleadings
Conduct legal research and assist attorneys with case preparation and strategy support
Manage attorney calendars, docket court deadlines, and maintain organized electronic and physical case files
Schedule client meetings, court appearances, mediations, and depositions
Serve as a liaison between clients and attorneys, including conducting client intake interviews and gathering supporting documentation
Prepare and review discovery materials, including disclosure statements, interrogatories, and requests for production
Assemble trial notebooks and provide support during hearings and trial proceedings
Qualifications
Minimum of three years of family law paralegal experience
Strong drafting, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple matters in a deadline-driven environment
Experience with Illinois court procedures and discovery practice preferred
Professional demeanor with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range of $60,000 – $70,000, commensurate with experience
