Our client, a leading Third-Party Administrator (TPA) specializing in professional liability claims, is seeking an experienced Professional Liability Claims Counsel / Claims Adjuster to manage complex claims from first notice through resolution. This fully remote role is well suited for attorneys or claims professionals with professional liability litigation or claims experience who enjoy coverage analysis, investigations, and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage professional liability claims from initial intake through resolution
- Conduct investigations, review pleadings and records, and coordinate with experts
- Analyze policy language and legal issues to determine coverage and liability
- Draft coverage determinations, reservation of rights letters, status reports, and settlement recommendations
- Collaborate with defense counsel, insureds, brokers, and internal teams
- Evaluate exposure, set and maintain accurate reserves, and document claim files
- Negotiate settlements and support alternative dispute resolution efforts

Qualifications and Experience
- JD preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience handling professional liability claims or litigation
- Strong understanding of coverage analysis, policy interpretation, and liability evaluation
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to manage complex, multi-party claims independently
- Active adjuster’s license(s) preferred, or ability to obtain as required
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary range of $100,000 to $140,000 plus quarterly performance incentives
