Our client, an established law firm located in downtown Chicago, is seeking a Real Estate & Energy Law Associate to support its expanding transactional practices. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced associate interested in working at the intersection of commercial real estate and energy development.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on utility-scale and distributed energy projects, including renewable energy developments
- Handle land acquisition, site control, permitting, and development matters
- Work on commercial real estate purchase, sale, and leasing transactions
- Draft and negotiate real estate, development, and project-related agreements
- Collaborate closely with developers, sponsors, utilities, and other energy stakeholders
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in energy law and/or commercial real estate
- Strong understanding of real estate issues impacting energy and infrastructure projects
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client-facing skills
- Active Illinois Bar admission
