Corporate Finance Partner
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Base Salary Range: $250,000-$350,000, with an additional compensation formula based on portable business
Scout Partners is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Corporate Finance Partner to join the established lending and finance practice of a respected Chicago law firm.
This opportunity is designed for a commercial finance attorney who can independently lead sophisticated transactions while leveraging an experienced team and well-developed firm infrastructure to expand their practice.
Representative Matters
- Mortgage and real estate lending.
- Asset-based lending.
- Mezzanine financing.
- Seller financing related to equity buyouts and asset sales.
- Litigation financing.
- Letters of credit and related commercial finance matters.
The practice represents banks, insurance companies, investment funds, developers, business owners, high-net-worth individuals, and owners of office, multifamily, retail, restaurant, hotel, parking, and industrial properties.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of relevant commercial finance or lending experience.
- Demonstrated ability to first-chair sophisticated financing transactions.
- In-depth knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code.
- Significant experience preparing and reviewing third-party legal opinions.
- A portable book of business of approximately $1 million or more.
- Strong client-management, drafting, negotiation, and business-development skills.
- Ability to leverage the firm’s existing team and resources to grow and service a substantial client base.

Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated base salary range is $250,000-$350,000, with an additional compensation formula based on portable business.
